Garden and Farm Almanac

I rarely make book reading recommendations, and my book reviews are basically information as in if you see it and think about picking it up, here are some thoughts on it already.

However, if you buy any book this year, spend the dollar or two and pick one of these up. I literally pay a dollar for these and I get them every year.

Any earth based Neo-Pagan religion can find it’s roots based in reference to how rural or country folk lived. No matter what religion they called themselves they paid attention to astrology, the moon phases, tidal charts, and other things you will find in this book, with the dates all mapped out for you in GREAT detail all in one handy reference guide for the year. They literally planned their lives around all of it.

If you are a Green or Kitchen Witch it maps out the best time to harvest or plant your herbs and gardens.

It gives you birthstone and flower correspondences for each month which would be handy for gifting or spellwork.

Even if you live in the middle of a big city, this book is pretty invaluable.

It gives you cleaning tips, old-timey beauty regimens, recipes, moon phases and their astrological correspondences, in-depth weather predictions, and just general fun things to read.

I truly believe any neo-pagan or witch could find this book invaluable in planning out their practice for the year. It has and will continue to be for me.
